Following whole 10G optical transceiver successfully released, Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable  QSFP to CX4 optical transceiver has become available in March.QSFP solution is designed for high-density applications. Components of the system include the Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) shielding cage, active optical cables (AOC), passive copper cable assembly, active copper cable assembly, optical MTP cable assembly, optical loopback, 38-circuit SMT iPass? host connector, and stacked integrated connectors and cages.

QSFP cables (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable) is an expansion to the established I/O interface system SFP+ and enables data transfer at 4 x 10 Gb/s in each direction with form factor 4X. The innovative connector plug design replaces the CX-4 standard for SDR (Single Date Rate) and DDR (Double Data Rate), expanding the specifications to include 470-4425 high-frequency QDR (Quad Data Rate) applications. The copper-based solution designed by LEONI is not just raising the bar with unrivalled NEXT characteristics and self-damping, but also with its extremely small diameter which is 20% below industrial average.
